The Starlight Blogger Award

First of all, thanks so much Hannah from Pull Yourself Together for nominating me for this award! It was a nice surprise to get the tweet about this. So far it's been a hectic week dipping between hospital in the south and then moving into my new house 'tup north to start medical school, and tomorrow I leave for another hospital appointment down south!

This award was created by the blogger Carolina from Yesterday After. Her rules are as follows:
- Thank the person who nominated you
- Include the logo of the award
- Answer 3 questions you have been given
- Ask your nominees 3 questions

My responses to Hannah's questions:

1. If you could be anywhere, where would you go?
Ooh, that's a good question! I've come to realise that I don't really care where I am, just who I'm with. For example, in my first year of university I was put in the most diabolical, dirty halls you could imagine, and I loved every minute of it! I formed a very close knit group with my flat mates and also a close knit group of medics who lived there, too. Anyways, I haven't seen my boyfriend in 5 weeks so really if I could be anywhere as long as I had him then I would be happy with that. I love skiing in the French alps, or the buzz of a city. But really, as long as I have my close friends and family then I am very content.

2. Who inspires you, and why?
In general, anyone who has passion for what they do and is successful then I feel inspired by them, because that's how I want to live my life. Malala Yousafzai is also very inspirational. But I've got to mention my mum, Si├ón. She is such a caring, kind and sweet mum. She is so strong and altruistic; she lost her mum very young and I wonder how she has so much strength in spite of that. She looked after me so well after my jaw surgery, and I couldn't have done it without her.

3. What are your hopes for the future?
In a nutshell, to be happy. As long as I'm getting up everyday to do something I enjoy and surround myself with people that I like then I'll be thrilled. Of course, I want to complete my medical degree and then at some point figure out which speciality I wish to pursue, and do that! As long as I have my health, family and friends then I really couldn't ask for more.

I don't read a lot of blogs, but I'm going to nominate Emma! Anyone else can do this award if they would like. My questions to you are:
1 - If you had to live in a country other than the one you grew up in, which one would it be?
2 - What is your favourite dish to cook and why?
3 - If you had one magic wish, what would it be?

Tomorrow is another 9-4 day which is pretty darn good when you think about all those overworked foundation year doctors. I then get the train back to my parent's house, and then hospital appointment on Friday. I was told that the elastics will be made much looser, and I really hope they will be!
